Tucked in Kugenuma-Ishigami, Fujisawa, the Japanese Traditional Culture Assiation feels like a small doorway into everyday Japanese heritage. Rather than a formal lecture, it’s a place to learn through conversation and hands-on experiences—manners and graceful gestures, seasonal customs, and the quiet aesthetics woven into daily life. Drop by between a stroll around Shonan or a visit to Enoshima, and you may start noticing details you once missed: how tea is offered, how a greeting changes with the season, how “simple” can be beautiful. Friendly, approachable, and quietly inspiring.
